Alyssia’s Dream, NFP Collaborates with Brown Ballerinas to Empower Young South African Dancers at the Kennedy Center

In 2023, Alyssia’s Dream, NFP proudly partnered with Paula Brown’s Brown Ballerinas to provide a transformative opportunity for 34 young dancers from South Africa. Through this collaboration, these talented ballerinas traveled to the United States to participate in the Brown Ballerina’s Dream Big Summer Intensive, a prestigious two-week ballet training program held at the renowned Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

The intensive featured world-class instruction from esteemed dance professionals, including Christopher Huggins, Anthony Burrell, and Caroline Rocher-Barnes, offering these young dancers unparalleled mentorship and technical development. This immersive experience not only refined their artistry but also fostered cultural exchange and empowered them to pursue excellence in ballet.

By bridging global connections in the dance world, Alyssia’s Dream and Brown Ballerinas reaffirmed their shared commitment to accessibility, representation, and opportunity in classical ballet.
